Impactful Communication

Impactful Communication is an exciting new approach to communication strategy that ensures your message is delivered more effectively by providing unique insights into maintaining the attention of others to profoundly influence what the listener hears, what they remember, and how they think and act as a result. Conducted by psychologist and relationship dynamics expert Lauren Hancock and internationally acclaimed Cirque du Soleil performer Allan Girod, this program combines a highly experiential format with up-to-date research in psychology and neuroscience.

Research demonstrates that we don’t take in or remember the majority of what is said to us, particularly when the message is data heavy or delivered in a way that is boring or repetitive. A key part to communicating effectively is to regulate our own attention and stress response in the moment. Using a combination of acting techniques and psychology based tools, participants are provided with a range of strategies to remain present and focussed in the moment.

This highly innovative program differs from other communication programs in its novel approach, combining techniques from theatre, improvisation, counselling, adult learning, and facilitation. The learning from this program has applications in any area of communication where you want to get your point across more effectively, from a one-on-one interaction, to a large company meeting, to presenting to groups of hundreds of people.
