What is ISPC-WA?

ISPC-WA is a progressive not-for-profit association aimed at connecting and providing opportunities for the Italian Scholars and Professionals in Perth.

The ISPC-WA Committee is very grateful for the generosity of our supporters

As a not-for-profit association, ISPC-WA has one goal in mind - to provide regular, valuable networking opportunities for Italian Scholars and professionals in Perth wishing to build and maintain a real network. However, we cannot do this without the support of our event partners:

-IAWCC: "The Italo-Australian Welfare & Cultural Centre Inc (IAWCC) has been a peak Organisation in the Italian Community since its inception in 1956, and over the years it has helped many thousands of people through its charitable fundraising events and through the many educational, welfare and cultural programmes and social activities which are offered for the benefit of both the Italian and Australian Communities."

-Green Smoothie Co. :"The story of Green Smoothie Co. is one of two halves coming together in a perfect fit.

One half of Green Smoothie Co. is passionate about business, but the kind of business that makes people’s lives easier. The kind of business that’s simple and honest, and the kind of business that saves people time (he loves efficiency).

The other half of Green Smoothie Co. is a former journalist with a creative soul and a love of healthy food, keeping fit and learning more about how to connect mind, body and soul (she’s starting her yoga teacher training soon).

Together they are a match made in wellness heaven.

Green Smoothie Co.’s genesis was in the kitchen. After watching her struggle – and frankly, make a big mess – with the ingredients and bulky packets required to make a superfood-based green smoothie each morning, he figured there must have been a better way.

She got tasting and testing (and he did too!) and now there is. Pre-packed single-serves of nutrient dense superfoods that you can order online and have delivered to your doorstep. Maximum nutrition, no waste, no fuss, no mess."

-OpenCollective: "While the Internet allows people to find each other and do things together, it is still difficult for groups of people to pool money easily and transparently. As a result, we see initiatives, projects, movements popping up here and there that disappear quickly from lack of funding. Imagine how many wonderful things don’t happen in the world because funding - which is oxygen for most organizations - is difficult to sustain in the earliest phases of a project. Without an easy way to raise and spend money, it’s hard to manage and grow many of these seeds of an idea that could change the world.

Meetups, open source projects, parent associations, neighborhood associations, pet projects, clubs, unions, movements, non-profits, business incubators - in order to operate, all of them are forced to use a physical glass jar, ask a sponsor to directly pay their expenses or front the huge overhead of setting up and managing a corporation or a non-profit. It’s either inefficient and opaque or it’s overkill.

OpenCollective sits right in the middle. We enable groups to quickly set up a collective, raise funds and manage them transparently.

We want all those seeds to have a chance to grow, to bring their ideas to life. We believe everyone should have the tools to create the organizations of tomorrow. And we are dedicating ourselves to making that happen!"
