Botanical and Astral Rooms, Crown Perth
Great Eastern Highway
Event Date: 01 May 2018 to 02 May 2018
Venue: Crown Events and Conferences, Botanical Rooms and Astral Ballroom
Hot Topix is the 2018 iteration of the Pilbara Kimberley Forum and is an opportunity for key government, business, and community leaders to discuss regional issues and develop joint advocacy initiatives for the development of north-western Australia.
After the success of delivering the 2014 event in Jakarta and the 2016 event in Shenzhen in connecting Australian leaders and businesses with Indonesian and Chinese investors, government officials, and banking capital, the 2018 event is a strategic-pivot towards advocacy and reform. Participants will discuss the future of the region, the reforms required, and the joint advocacy that could be taken to state and federal leaders in the lead up to the 2019 election.
The event is delivered by the Pilbara Regional Council, in partnership with the Pilbara Development Commission and the Kimberley Regional Group. The event also includes session sponsors Pardoo Beef Corporation, Civic Legal, and Pilbara Solar. The Forum, held in the Botanical Rooms and Astral Ballroom of the Crown Events & Conferences Centre, will feature plenary sessions, workshops, debates and networking. The Premier of Western Australia, Hon Mark McGowan MLA, will open the event proceedings, and day one will also feature a special public lunch event in collaboration with CEDA WA. The Minister for Regional Development, Hon Alannah MacTiernan MLC, will also provide a keynote address. A Recommendations Paper from the event will be delivered to both the Prime Minister of Australia and the Premier of Western Australia, along with other significant national policy influencers.
Registration price for the event starts at $499 which is inclusive of:
• 2-day forum entry,
• Day 1 CEDA Lunch,
• Day 1 Sponsored Sundowner,
• Day 1 Sponsored Forum Dinner, and
• All forum catering.
Crown Events & Conferences has also provided the event with a limited number of discounted rooms in the Crown Metropol, which can be purchased as a separate ‘registration plus accommodation’ option.
