Healthcare: Reform or Ration?

Event Date:
19 April 2013
Time:
11:45am
Venue:
Hyatt Regency Perth

Join CEDA for the WA launch of our latest policy perspective, Healthcare: Reform or Ration, as a panel of healthcare experts discuss potential policy reform and scenarios to future-proof the State’s healthcare system.

Western Australians have always enjoyed a reasonably equitable and relatively efficient healthcare system. However, research commissioned by CEDA is showing that increasing utilisation of healthcare services, financial unsustainability, ineffective reforms and Australia’s inability to taken economic advantage of medical advances are putting this at risk.

If no action is taken, WA faces extensive rationing of medical access, or bankruptcy of the existing system. How can the existing status quo in relation to policies, funding models and innovation be improved to avoid this outcome?

All attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the CEDA policy perspective.
