Financial strength for the NFP director
In our 2016 Not-for-Profit Governance and Performance Study it was found that building financial strength is still the major concern for most directors.
Government funding is a key element of this, with directors calling for a more collaborative relationship with government, to work in ‘partnership’ with governments across Australia to help solve the big issues facing our society. With the recognition that government funding will continue to decline organisations see the benefits in diversifying revenue through sponsorship, fundraising, bequests etc.
This briefing will explore:
• The challenges of diversifying revenue
• The implications of reducing government grants
• The need for a more innovative approach to strategy
• Sustainable business models
