Environmental auditing and compliance – what is it and why do you need it?
Darren and Jeremy will take you through the processes and steps that are involved with an environmental compliance audit covering expectations, case studies and client requirements to help make sure you remain compliant and your reporting meets all regulations.
Craig will provide a summary of the importance of compliance with environmental conditions and will discuss strategies and mechanisms to avoid enforcement and prosecution.

Darren Walsh has over 20 years' experience in government relations, environmental impact assessment and environmental management, with particular emphasis on the land development and mining sectors. Through his career in senior executive roles, Darren has an exceptionally well established network throughout all relevant government agencies at both State and Commonwealth levels.
Combined with a high level of expertise in the negotiation of environmental approvals, Darren has a comprehensive knowledge in all key areas of environmental consulting services.
Jeremy Mitchell
Principal and Lead Environmental Auditor
Strategen Environmental Consultants
Jeremy Mitchell is a professional with over 15 years' experience in environment and sustainability consulting, management and practice throughout Western Australia. He is an accredited Lead Environmental Auditor with Exemplar Global (formerly RABQSA) and manages the Strategen compliance audit team.
Craig Wallace

Lavan Legal
Craig Wallace is a partner in Lavan Legal’s Planning, Environment and Land Compensation Team.
Craig has over 13 years’ experience in the areas of planning, environment and land compensation in both the UK and Australia. He has provided advice on all aspects of development and subdivision approvals, environmental approvals (State and Federal) and the conduct of statutory appeals in the State Administrative Tribunal and the Office of the Appeals Convenor.
