Directors Lunch: NFP Governance - Current trends and future issues

Event Date:
18 October 2018
Australian Institute of Company Directors
Level 1 Allendale Square, 77 St Georges Terrace

AICD’s Not-for-Profit Governance and Performance Study is the largest and most in-depth research of its kind in Australia. In 2018, the study examined how NFP boards are approaching the sector's pressing governance issues including innovation, cybersecurity and culture.

For the first time, as part of a new psychometric dimension to the study, the AICD used profiling questions to explore the leadership characteristics that lead to better board performance. This new approach has delivered valuable insights.

AICD’s Phil Butler, Sector Leader NFP, will brief you on these findings, examining the future direction of corporate governance for NFP organisations in the critically important areas of innovation, cybersecurity and culture, as well as taking a deeper dive into the current issues facing the aged care sector. He will then be joined by a panel of experts to answer the following questions:
• What are the governance challenges for leaders of NFP organisations?
• What is the NFP board’s role in leading within the areas of innovation, cybersecuity and culture?
• What are the expectations of members, regulators and the broader community?
