The not-for-profit (NFP) Sector is an essential part of the Australian economy and society. Over the past 7 years, the NFP Governance and Performance Study has been the largest and most comprehensive source of information on the governance of NFP organisations in Australia. The NFP sector is going through a time of major change. The introduction of the NDIS is just one example and with this comes huge opportunities but also major challenges for directors and executives to manage.

We are delighted to offer an opportunity for NFP Directors and Business Leaders to be briefed on the findings and challenges facing this Sector. Phil Butler GAICD is the not-for-profit Sector Leader for the Australian Institute of Company Directors and will be joined by a panel of leading experts in this field.

Join us as we discuss some of the key themes emerging from the 2017 study. These include the board's role in setting and monitoring an organisation’s culture, determining the risk appetite of the organisation and the management of risk (including reputational risk). In addition, the challenges regarding financial strength and the rapidly changing business models will be explored.
