Increasingly the major employers of contractors and professional services are looking for evidence that these businesses share their values. One of the strong drivers for the resource sector is community engagement and how this will bring benefits to the communities in which they operate.
On 11 October the Australia Business Arts Foundation (AbaF) is running a 'Community Engagement' seminar in order to assist businesses to understand what community engagement means, its importance to healthy communities and where the arts fits within such a strategy. There are details about the seminar in the attached. This seminar has received strong backing from the major players in the resource sector who believe that there should be a greater diversity of business engaged with the arts.
