Chevron City to Surf 2013

With registrations now open the 2013 Chevron City to Surf for Activ is again set to capture the hearts of the Perth Community on Sunday 25th August.

Record breaking numbers in 2012 saw more than 45,000 people sign up, raising over $700,000 for 145 local charities including event owner Activ. This year is set to be even bigger. 
Put the dates in your diary, grab a friend and get training!

42 Kilometer Marathon

• Start Time: 6:00am
• Start Location: Assembly area Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Perth CBD
• Participants are advised to arrive 30 minutes prior to the start time.
• Participants will be required to assemble in the correct pavilion approximately 20minutes before their start time.
• A safety and warm up video will be conducted inside the PCEC pavilion.

21 Kilometer Half Marathon

• Start Time: 08:30am
• Assembly Location: Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Perth CBD
• Participants are advised to arrive no earlier than 30 minutes prior to their start time
• Participants will be marshaled into pavilions approximately 20 minutes before their race is due to start. Look out for the signs to indicate which pavilion is marshaling your wave and distance
• A safety and warm up video will be conducted inside the PCEC pavilions prior to the start of each distance

12 Kilometer Run

• Start time: 08:55am
• 12km distance is a mass event with over 30,000 expected; it is a rare and special running experience 
• Assembly Location: Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Perth CBD
• Please arrive at PCEC no earlier than 30 minutes prior to your start time
• A safety and warm up video will be conducted in the PCEC pavilions prior to the start of each distance

12 Kilometer Walk

• Start time: 09:35am
• Is always full of community spirit, fun and laughter
• Location: Assembly area Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Perth CBD
• Please arrive at PCEC no earlier than 30 minutes prior to your start time

4 Kilometer Walk/Run

• Start time:08:00am
• Location: McLean Park, Floreat
• 4km Run participants must assemble by 7.30am
• Warm ups will be conducted prior to assembly time

4 Kilometer Wheelchair

• Start Time Wheelchair Race: 8.00am
• Location: McLean Park, Floreat
• Participants must assemble by 7.30am
• Warm ups will be conducted prior to assembly time

When you choose to run and fundraise for the partner charity, Activ, you are helping provide a better life for people with a disability.
Activ focuses on the individual client and in addition to providing essential services such as respite and transport, Activ helps makes the dreams of our clients come true.

Some of clients dream of traveling through WA and Australia but can’t easily do so as they need a bit of extra support in getting around. But thanks to Activ’s Recreational Program, our clients have seen the dolphin feeding at Monkey Mia, visited Broom’s Cable Beach and even flown further afield to places like Melbourne, Sydney and Tasmania.

Some of our clients dream of being a budding artist and Activ has helped them attain this dream by organising art classes that allow for their individual needs. Not all of our clients can easily use their hands and so Activ organises special classes where our clients can paint with their feet. 

This is all made possible thanks to the generous support of people who donate and fundraise for Activ.
The Chevron City to Surf is Activ’s major annual fundraising event and by choosing to support Activ, your fundraising dollars will help Activ to support children and adults with disability, with whatever they need to enable their dreams to come true.
