Certificate in Governance Practice

The Certificate in Governance Practice is a six-course Certificate providing an introduction to governance. It is an open-entry course designed to address the learning needs of a wide range of people with varying levels of governance responsibilities.

The Certificate in Governance Practice (Intensive) aims to provide knowledge, skills and important tools in governance and risk to maximise work effectiveness.

Over three days, the courses required to fulfil the requirements of the Certificate will be offered in an intensive study course. The course will be delivered as tutorial sessions by expert presenters.

Following the tutorial attendance, students can then elect to attempt the multiple-choice online exam for each of the six courses to achieve the Certificate qualification, CertGov(Prac), when all assessment is completed successfully.

Tuesday, 17 September
• Governance Essentials
• Duties of Officers and Directors

Wednesday, 18 September
• Practical On-the-Job Skills for Company Secretaries

Thursday, 19 September
• Meeting ASX Listing Rules Requirements
• Assessing, Analysing and Treating Risk

Subject to availability, you may complete alternative courses to those listed above to fulfil the requirements of the Certificate. Also subject to availability you may complete any of the above courses as single courses.

What’s included?
The fee for registration in the Certificate in Governance Practice (Intensive) course provides you with the face-to-face tutorials on the scheduled dates; hard-copy materials received at the events; and for a period of 21 days from and including the event dates, two attempts at the online exam for each course. On successful completion of the six multiple-choice online exams, you will be eligible for the CertGov(Prac) qualification and to apply for Certificated Membership of CSA.
