Murfett Legal's Lunch Bites series kicks off with an exploration of the workplace issues arising from the 'on-demand' or 'gig economy' in WA.

Challenges, risks and rewards stem from the development of online work platforms and the transformation of a workforce from one employed chiefly on permanent contracts to one increasingly engaged on a short-term or temporary basis. Increasingly, businesses are utilising freelancers, casuals, contractors, interns and consultants to build a nimble and responsive workforce, avoiding extensive employee payroll and minimising other costs associated with permanent employees. However, what are the risks and legal issues that need to be understood? What are the benefits and rewards of doing this casual engagement within the highly regulated legislative framework?

Join Carla Vinciullo, Partner - Employment and Workplace Relations at Murfett Legal, as we explore the key issues with examples and case studies that will ensure a lively discussion and interesting Q&A.

This is your opportunity to get your issues and concerns addressed. If you have a specific question you'd like covered, don't hesitate to email Carla.

Who would benefit from attending? Employers, CEO's, General Managers, HR Directors, People and Culture Managers, COO's and Business Owners.

A light lunch will be provided. Bookings are essential for catering purposes. Numbers are limited, so be quick to secure your place.
