CEDA - Tourism - marketing WA to the world
08 March 2018
The new State Government has a dedicated focus on tourism-boosting enterprises to deliver increased and sustained economic growth for Western Australia (WA).
CEDA welcomes the Hon. Paul Papalia CSC, WA Minister for Tourism, and key players to examine current initiatives, future investment and job growth opportunities driving the State’s fast-growing tourism sector. The Minister will outline the State Government’s plans to diversify WA’s economy through tourism, including the $425 million pledge to destination marketing and events. With recent initiatives including direct flights from Perth to London launching in March providing a critically important access point for new tourism opportunities for Perth and WA, Perth Airport Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Brown, will present opportunities and insights on the positive impact for the State.
WA’s sporting tourism sector is similarly poised for tremendous and sustained growth as Perth Stadium opens in early 2018. Perth Stadium Chief Executive Officer, Mike McKenna, will discuss the impact and opportunities this offers the WA economy.
These experts will discuss opportunities for collaboration with the tourism industry, government bodies and key stakeholders to ensure current and future economic prosperity.
We look forward to welcoming you to CEDA’s Tourism – marketing WA to the world event.
