CEDA - Domestic violence : the economic impact
Violence against women is not just a social issue for Australia - it has a significant impact on our economy and on business. The cost of violence against women has been estimated at $22 billion per year. Governments, communities and businesses all share this cost.
Minister Michaelia Cash is a Senator for Western Australia, Minister for Women and Minister for Employment in the Turnbull Government, which has made domestic violence a key priority. Minister Cash will focus on the Federal Government’s achievements and priorities in Western Australia when it comes to tackling violence against women, and the importance of working with businesses and communities to ensure that women are safe at home, safe on the streets, safe online and safe at work.
