CCI and Main Roads WA Present - Managing Perth's congestion: What's changing on our roads
Perth is one of the most liveable cities in the world. With a growing population more vehicles are on the road network at peak times. One of the five key objectives of the recently released Perth Transport Plan for 3.5m people and beyond is to ‘optimise the use of the existing network’. There are many initiatives aligned to this objective happening now and making a difference.
The State Government is taking expertise and learning from Transport for London and preparations for the London 2012 Olympics in their approach to addressing Perth’s congestion challenge.
Join us for breakfast and to hear from the Hon. Dean Nalder MLA, Minister for Transport and James Dobinson, Congestion Program Director, Main Roads WA as they discuss a number of key projects that form an integral part of managing Perth’s congestion.
