Morgan Ball, Managing Director
Mr Ball joined BC Iron in September 2009 as CFO and Company Secretary before being appointed to the Board as an Executive Director in December 2011 and relinquishing his role as Company Secretary to focus on his duties as Finance Director. In May 2013, Mr Ball was appointed as Managing Director following the retirement of founding Managing Director, Mr Young.
Prior to BC Iron from April 2007 to September 2009, Mr Ball was the CFO and Company Secretary for Indago Resources - a publicly listed exploration company developing the Tusker gold deposit in Tanzania. Prior to this, Mr Ball held senior commercial roles with Brambles, P&O and Ernst & Young
BC Iron (ASX: BCI) is an iron ore development and mining company with key assets in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The Company’s core focus is the Nullagine Iron Ore Project (NJV), an unincorporated 75/25 joint venture with Fortescue Metals Group Limited. The NJV uses Fortescue’s infrastructure at Christmas Creek, 50km south of the Nullagine mine, to rail its ore to Port Hedland from where it is shipped directly to customers overseas.
