The Global LNG Landscape-Some Implications for Australia

David Byers was appointed as Chief Executive of the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA) in October 2011, the peak national body representing Australia's oil and gas exploration and production industry. David has spent most of his career in the oil and gas industry - initially with Woodside and subsequently in senior management roles in Mobil and ExxonMobil in Australia, Singapore and the United States. 

In 2007, he was appointed chief executive of CEDA (Committee for Economic Development of Australia), a leading national economic research and policy forum. David has degrees in economics and law.
