CEDA invites future leaders of all ages and sectors to attend our Future Leaders sundowner and be inspired by Yassmin Abdel-Magied, the tireless young Muslim engineer who has made it her personal business to empower young people and women to overcome bias and create positive change.

Yassmin was born in Sudan but grew up in Queensland and recently moved to Perth to work as a FIFO well engineer for a large oil and gas company. At just 16, Yassmin established Youth Without Borders to enable young people to work together to initiate positive changes within their communities and internationally. Yassmin was subsequently involved in the Australian Multicultural Council, Federal ANZAC Centenary Commemoration Youth Working Group and the 2014 Youth G20 Summit.
