Bigger & Better Beyond the Boom Report Launch

The Committee for Perth invites you to register and attend the launch of the Bigger & Better Beyond the Boom project report.

The region's strengths in mining and resources have driven economic growth over the past 50 years. Yet in the face of disruption, Greater Perth and its economy is now at a critical point in time. The report findings show that as a result of globalisation, Perth and Peel faces increased competition from other cities that have plans in place to grow and prosper.

The Bigger & Better Beyond the Boom project report proposes recommendations for government and industry to realise a bright future for Perth. It provides a framework upon which to take advantage of our key strengths in order to grow and diversify the economy. The report is the culmination of engagement with 2600 Perth and Peel residents, nine research reports, more than 230 hours of Steering Committee input, and on-the-ground research findings from national and international study tours.

After the keynote address, there will be a Q&A panel session with business leaders who will reflect on the report and its recommendations, with a focus on how industry and government can work together for the future prosperity of Perth and WA. A copy of the report will be made available to all attendees at the conclusion of the lunch.
