The new annual Arts & Edges Public Festival will this year be part of the biennial Regional Arts Australia Summit- the nation’s most prestigious arts gathering, and will be held in Kalgoorlie-Boulder in October 16-19.

The festival will be significantly extended by the creative program of the Summit, with speakers and arts presentations that will bring hundreds of artists, arts and community leaders to the city.

The Goldfields has an impressive cultural reputation, with internationally recognised Aboriginal art, the last remaining Philip Goatcher curtain in the world and Antony Gormleys world class Inside Australia sculptures at Lake Ballard, which attrac thousands of annual visitors each year.

The events will include death defying aerialists, fire acts, street performers, vibrant ‘pop up’ art markets, a multi-cultural food fair, Aboriginal arts and cultural performances, colourful parades and Australian rock legends Nabarlek, on stage in a celebration of regional arts and culture.
