With Western Australia’s population forecast to reach approximately 4.2 million in 2056, WA faces a number of long term challenges: the need to improve productivity growth; provide affordable and accessible housing; improve infrastructure provision; create safe community spaces; meet the needs of a growing and ageing population; ensure an inclusive and cohesive society. The way our decision makers plan to accommodate future growth and change will be critical to achieving smart, global and connected communities.
