Perth WA
This is just a taste of what will come the way of WA (and SA, Tas and the NT) should the referendum on local government funding be passed. It's the first step towards Labor's long-held ideology of removing all State governments, leaving only local authorities at a State level and centralising power in Canberra. Having multiple centres of economic power protects democracy and means we can, when necessary, visit a State government department to "eyeball" the bureaucrats making decision about our lives, thereby making them more accountable.
