The WA GovNext cloud initiative is fundamentally flawed and will send the WA state government broke. It is laughable that all those who know better (anyone in an IT technical role) will be easily able to show that the pricing for anything but telco services through the three international Govnext vendors is a ripoff at 2x to 5x the price of in-house IT solutions. Why would our state government give government business to three international providers - unless this is an over-sold poisonous chalice gifted to labor by the ill-fated outgoing Barnett government. It is really funny that no one in authority can see the sales job done on them by the previous GCIO. Where's the royal commission on this one?
