Gunther Hoppe

Gunther Hoppe is the director of corporate services for the Mindarie Regional council. In July 2015, he was named acting chief executive of the Western Metropolitan Regional Council. Mr Hoppe was chief financial officer of ATCO Gas Australia and WA Gas Networks. He is an experienced finance professional who has worked in public practice, commerce and in local government across a number of industries including gas distribution, mining, education, manufacturing and waste management. Mr Hoppe is experienced across all aspects of day-to-day as well as strategic financial and operational performance and risk management. With significant experience in corporate governance and board sub-committees, Mr Hoppe is extensively familiar with boards of directors and local government councils.
