Osborne Park-based Veris has secured a three-year services contract for technology infrastructure upgrades at BHP Billiton’s accommodation villages.

The contract was awarded to Veris’ Aqura Technologies business, which will provide design, supply, installation and commissioning services for the In-room communication and entertainment system at the villages.

The contract includes an agreed schedule of rates for technology and survey works.

Aqura has recently been awarded work totalling $4.6 million by BHP at its Yandi and Whaleback projects.

Veris managing director Adam Lamond said the company was pleased to continue its strong relationship with BHP.

“The services contract is a significant step for the growth of Aqura as a standalone business and will help ensure a smooth delivery of works over time helping meet both the clients and our needs. Importantly it also allows for BHP to engage us for surveying services across the country as well,” he said

Shares in Veris were flat at 20 cents each today.
