The power players of WA’s north-west

The north-west is the economic engine room of the nation, and a place where many have made their fortune.

It is fitting then that so many of the state's most influential people - most notably Andrew Forrest and Gina Rinehart - owe their success to the region.

But within the north-west, and indeed in each of its three regions - the Pilbara, Kimberley, and Gascoyne - are residents and regulars who carry significant local sway of the course of policy and investment decisions.

To mark this, Business News has a compiled a list, which is by no means exhaustive, of those in the north-west who hold the keys to the region's success.

Those on the list either live in the north-west, or spend a considerable enough time each year above the 26th parallel.

The list has been compiled in no particular order.
