What?

FlashMop is an Uber-style app connecting Perth households and businesses with highly rated local cleaners, on demand. Every Perth postcode is covered, with over 100 cleaners registered and ready to be deployed. Flat-rate pricing tiers allow users to see exactly what is included in their clean prior to booking. Once booked, customers communicate directly with their cleaner to provide special instructions. The app allows GPS tracking of the cleaner’s location and gives advance notice of their arrival via FlashMop’s notification service. The app is cashless, with a secure online payment gateway. The app also includes a compliance system for cleaners, while users are also able to review their cleaner.

Where?

FlashMop can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. For further information and links to download, visit flashmop.com.au

Who?

Perth-based Megan Harrison, who is a former mining industry occupational health and safety adviser, is the founder of FlashMop.

Quotation

“I always found it difficult to get a quality cleaner who ticked all the boxes for me. I wanted someone trustworthy and who did a good job, but also who was available when it suited me,” Megan Harrison said.

$/Market/News

Ms Harrison has invested about $40,000, with a second version of the app already under way to refine minor issues and improve user experience.

FlashMop launched in the Perth market in October 2018. Since its launch, about 350 households have downloaded the app and signed up for cleaning, and more than 100 cleaners have registered their services.
