Screenwest, SWDC, Water, Zenergy, Gage Roads appointments

Film production legal adviser Bryce Menzies has been appointed to the Screenwest board. Mr Menzies is a principal at Melbourne-based law firm Marshalls + Dent, and has advised on over 500 films over the past three decades. He was also an executive producer on films such as Red Dog and Son of a Gun. Mr Menzies has previously served on the boards of Film Victoria, Screen Tasmania and the South Australian Film Commission.

 

Anna Oades has been appointed acting chief executive officer of the South West Development Commission. Ms Oades appointment follows the resignation of Don Punch, who leaves after eighteen years at SWDC. Ms Oades has been the strategic manager, people and place at SWDC for nine years, and was previously principal communities officer and the manager in community engagement.

 

 

Michael Rowe has been appointed director general at the Department of Water after acting in the role since 2014. Mr Rowe was previously employed in the Department of Regional Development and Land, serving as the director of strategic policy, the acting executive director of development and diversification, the acting director general and the executive director of policy and planning.

 

Perth owned Zenergy Power Group has appointed Matt Brown as chief executive officer. After the company being registered in April, Mr Brown was called as the first chief executive officer of group. 

 

Gage Roads Brewing Company has appointed Scott Player as national sales and marketing manager. Mr Player was national sales manager at Matso’s Broome Brewery from 2013 until earlier this year. He also has prior experience as national head of sales for Little Creatures, and in various roles for Carlton & United Breweries.
