Subiaco contractor SRG has won a $24.4 million contract from WaterNSW as part of works on a dam near Tamworth.

The company will install cable anchors on the Keepit Dam as part of an upgrade that’s expected to begin in the first quarter of 2017.

It should be completed within two years, the company said.

SRG managing director David Macgeorge said the company had installed world record capacity ground anchors in a number of dam-strengthening projects

“This significant project sees SRG’s civil division and mining division’s geotech services coming together to deliver an end to end solution to WaterNSW,” Mr Macgeorge said in a statement.

SRG are looking forward to working closely with WaterNSW to successfully deliver this important infrastructure project.”

It follows an $8.4 million contract awarded for development and design of concrete silos at Bass Point Quarry near Wollongong in July.

Shares in SRG were down 1 per cent to $1.84 at the time of writing.
