Curtin Law School director, consumer and small business law Eileen Webb has been appointed to the Law Reform Commission of WA. Ms  Webb joined Curtin in 2016 after 15 years at the University of Western Australia’s law faculty.

 

Fleet delivery services company ANC has appointed Kylee Bidwell national projects manager. Ms  Bidwell has been with ANC since 1993. She most recently served as WA state manager, a position she had held for the past three years.

 

The University of Notre Dame Australia has appointed Gervase Chaney as the new dean of its school of medicine in Fremantle. Dr  Chaney has resigned as Perth Children’s Hospital executive director, commissioning to take up the position. He is also a former executive director of Princess Margaret Hospital. Jane Courtney has served as acting dean of the school since previous dean Shirley Bowen left the university to take up the role of St John of God Subiaco chief executive in June.

 

The University of Western Australia has appointed Owen Davies chief marketing officer. Mr  Davies is currently general manager, marketing at Crown Perth. He joined Crown in 2007, after previous work with market research firm Synovate. His marketing experience also includes work on Perth’s bid for a Super Rugby team in 2004.

 

Applecross-based share registry business Security Transfer Australia has promoted national operations manager Samantha Williams to chief executive. Her appointment comes as company founder Karen Anastasakis plans for retirement in the next few years. Ms Williams has been with STA for 12 years, and became national operations manager in 2016.

 

Chris Bingemann has joined View Street Partners as associate director. Mr  Bingemann was previously director, investment banking for Merrill Lynch in Perth since 2011, when he returned to Perth after holding the same role in the firm’s Sydney office.

 

Cedar Woods Properties has appointed Justin Crooks development director. Mr  Crooks was previously development director at Frasers Property Australia for three years, after four years as project director for Satterley Property Group. Cedar Woods senior development manager John Silla has been promoted to projects director.

 

Belmont-based elder abuse support agency Advocare has appointed Diedre Timms chief executive, following the departure of previous chief executive Greg Mahey in July. Ms Timms is currently head of home and community care at Silver Chain. She is a former chief operations officer for Perth Home Care Services, and a former chief executive of Volunteer Task Force.

 

Asterisk Information Security has appointed David Keller business development manager. Mr  Keller was previously territory manager, WA for Symantec. The company has appointed Laura Davis as a security consultant. Ms  Davis was previously a cyber security consultant at PwC.

 

Environmental consulting services firm Strategen has made nine appointments. Ron Firth and Laura Stevens join the Subiaco office as zoologists; Katrina Cooper and Tristan Sleigh as associates; Michael Tickle, Marc Morris, and Megan Stone as senior consultants; Carli Turner as a consultant; and Vincent Dinh as GIS specialist.

 

Pitcher Partners has appointed Birgitte Hebiton a director, taxation services in its Perth office. Ms  Hebiton has 19 years of experience in tax advice, and was previously director, transfer pricing and international tax at KPMG.

 

Disability services provider Intelife Group has appointed Steve Edgar as its new chief executive. Mr  Edgar joins the organisation after previously working in the engineering sector, most recently as senior commercial manager for Bedivere Group. Previous incumbent Fiona Beermier left in May to take the helm at Ngala.

 

Murfett Legal has appointed Marcus Procopio special counsel in its property and commercial law team. After stints with Solomon Brothers and MinterEllison, Mr Procopio served as legal counsel and company secretary of SGS Australia from 2011 to 2016. Since leaving SGS he has operated his own practice, Middleton Legal.

 

Robyn Glindemann has joined Lantegy Legal as a director. Ms  Glindemann had been a counsel at Clifford Chance for the past five years, following 17 years at Allens. She was appointed chair of the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts earlier this year, having joined its board in 2014.
