Change of guard at ATCO

ATCO Australia has appointed Pat Creaghan as managing director and chief operating officer following the retirement of Bobbi Lambright after two years in the role. Mr  Creaghan joined ATCO in 2011, and was most recently senior vice president, corporate development. Prior to joining the company he worked in the oil and gas sector, including as vice president, Shell Canada.

O’Brien heads west

Grant Thornton has appointed Don O'Brien as managing partner of its Perth Office. Mr  O'Brien was previously head of tax in the firm’s Sydney branch.

Clyde & Co expands practice

Four Perth lawyers have left Sparke Helmore to join rival firm Clyde & Co. Jonathan Wyatt has been appointed a partner of Clyde & Co’s insurance practice. Special counsel Paul Graham and senior associates Trent O'Neill and Alen Sinanovic have also made the move across to the firm.

Boyce joins Bellanhouse

Bellanhouse Legal has appointed Michael Boyce partner. Mr  Boyce joins the firm from Herbert Smith Freehills, where he served as a senior associate in the firm’s energy and resources team.

Promotions at Braemar

Braemar Presbyterian Care has made two management appointments. Financial controller Kristy Ryan has been promoted to general manager, finance and administration. Manager, human resources Renee Reid has been promoted to general manager, workforce.

Gregson to resign

Western Australian commissioner of fire and emergency services Wayne Gregson has announced he will step down in September. Mr  Gregson has served in the role since 2012, and had been chief executive of the then FESA for a year before its transformation into the Department of Fire and Emergency Services that year. He was previously assistant commissioner, judicial services for Western Australia Police.
