Former JCY principal Will Thomson has joined Site Architecture Studio as an associate. He was lead education architect at JCY and head of the building information modelling practice management team. At JCY, Mr  Thompson designed projects including additions to Fremantle College, and the library and student services building at Edith Cowan University.

IRDI Legal has appointed Daniel Papalia senior lawyer. Mr  Papalia was previously an associate director in Avon Legal’s commercial team. He has ten years’ experience in property and corporate law.

HHG Legal Group has appointed Siobhan Nims a senior criminal lawyer in the dispute resolution practice. Ms  Nims has regional experience working in the state’s north west, for Legal Aid and the Aboriginal Legal Service. She will lead the criminal law team, and HHG says Ms  Nims will strengthen the firm’s capabilities in matters concerning local governments and regulatory bodies.

Silver Chain subsidiary and care assessment provider Access Care Network Australia has appointed Judi Moylan to its board. Mrs Moylan served in the House of Representatives from 1993 to 2013, representing the seat of Pearce, and held positions including Minister for Family Services and Minister for Women. Prior to entering politics, Mrs Moylan owned a real estate agency and was president of the Midland and Districts Chamber of Commerce.

Executive search company Heidrick & Struggles has appointed Beau Yorke a partner in its Perth office. Mr  Yorke joined the company as a principal in 2015, following the collapse of CTPartners. He had joined CTPartners the previous year, when it acquired Park Brown, where he had served as partner.

The Perth Bone and Tissue Bank, which trades as PlusLife, has appointed four people to its board. St John Ambulance deputy chief executive Anthony Smith, former DonateLife WA state manager Hal Boronovskis, Gumala Enterprises director Bart Boelen, and Wealth Management Partners senior partner Steven Perica have all joined the board. Peel Health Campus chief executive Margaret Sturdy has resigned from the PlusLife board due to work commitments.

CRC ORE has appointed Sabina Shugg the director of the new Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mining Innovation Hub. Most recently she has worked at KPMG as national lead, mining performance, which she joined after serving as head of mining at management consultancy Momentum Partners. Ms  Shugg is founder and chair of Women in Mining & Resources WA and a director of Mining Education Australia.

Gumala Enterprises has appointed Tim Larkin chief executive. Mr  Larkin is a former global leader, oil and gas at Laing O’Rourke. More recently he has provided strategy and development consultancy services to Kiewit Australia, Australian Marine Complex, and BGC Contracting. Mr  Larkin has also held past manager roles with Leighton Contractors, John Holland, ABB, United Group, and BHP.

CBH Group has elected Natalie Browning as the first female member-director in its 85-year history. Brian McAlpine and Simon Stead were elected unopposed.
