Morrison designer Kylie Radford, sitting next to her partner Richard Poulson, was named fashion designer of the year at the Western Australian Fashion Awards.

Morrison designer Kylie Radford was last night announced as the fashion designer of the year at the Western Australian Fashion Awards.

Ms Radford and partner Richard Poulson began their journey in Fremantle about 15 years ago.

Today they have more then 100 stockists carrying their merchandise, with sales exceeding $100 million in the past five years.

They expect to earn double that amount in the five years ahead.

Additionally, most of their production is based in WA, with only 20 per cent of the company's supply chain in China.

Other winners included sylist of year Teagan Sewell and shopper’s choice award winner Periscope.

Christine Fox, who manages modeling agency Vivien’s in WA, was inaugrated into the industry's walk of fame. 

The walk is located on King Street in the city.

Ms Fox had a hand in the careers of numerous successful WA models including Rebecca Judd and Nicole Trunfio.
