More spectacular gold hits for Bellevue

ASX listed gold developer Bellevue Gold continues to shoot the lights out at its rapidly emerging Bellevue gold project near Leinster in WA with a spectacular 10m drill intersection grading almost an ounce to the tonne gold.

In what is increasingly looking like a clever exploration play, the company is targeting two gold lodes from the hanging-wall position of the Tribune lode, intersecting that lode first and then the newly discovered, flat-lying Viago lode at a depth of about 500m vertically from surface.

New intersections reported from the Tribune lode this week include 10.1 metres grading 29 grams per tonne gold from 188.5m down-hole, which included a 7 metre intersection grading 37.9g/t gold.

Another intercept was 2.1m long grading 9.4g/t gold from 299.7m down-hole.

For the deeper Viago lode, the company continues to enjoy a significant hit rate, returning numerous narrowish, but very high grade gold results.

These include 1.5m @ 23.9g/t gold from 566.3m down-hole and 2.8m @ 19g/t gold from 571.65m down-hole in separate drill holes.

A further result of 3.35m @ 37.4g/t gold from the 562m mark was recorded in another drill hole located almost 500m south southeast from the other significant results.

In fact, the Viago lode mineralisation has now been delineated over a strike length of 900 metres and just for a bit of added excitement, it remains open in all directions.

The company said that visible gold was logged in a further four holes through the Viago lode and all assays are pending for those holes.

Bellevue recently added a third drill rig to its exploration efforts to more rapidly define the tonnage and grade potential of the Viago lode.

The recently announced mineral resource of 1.9 million tonnes grading 8.2g/t gold for 500,000 ounces does not account for the new mineralisation outlined for the Viago lode.

The company is planning to report an updated mineral resource statement in the December quarter this year, which will no doubt be keenly anticipated after the recent run of exceptional drill results.

Bellevue Executive Director Mr Steve Parsons said: “Diamond drilling at the Tribune and Viago Lode discoveries continue to support our belief we are onto a significant gold discovery at the Bellevue gold project. The recent set of results have exceptional high-grade gold mineralisation, including the highest we have seen so far.”

“An exciting aspect of the exploration at Tribune Lode has been the down-hole-electro-magnetic surveying which we are now undertaking at Viago Lode and there appears to be an excellent correlation with high-grade gold.”

“With three drill rigs on site we anticipate upgrading the recently announced maiden resource estimate of 500,000 at 8.2g/t gold during the upcoming December Quarter 2018.”
