Monadelphous joint venture Zenviron has been awarded a contract with a wind farm group in regional Victoria, while Primero Group has announced new contracts worth $30 million.

Zenviron has won a contract with Vestas – Australian Wind Technology, for the delivery of balance-of-plant civil and electrical works at the Dundonnell Wind Farm.

Monadelphous is a 55 per cent shareholder in Zenviron, which is expected to perform about $100 million of works under the contract.

Works will commence this month, with completion expected in August 2020.

Zenviron general manager Carl Keating said the contract was the company’s third package of work with Vestas.

“Zenviron continues to grow with Australia’s renewable energy market,” he said.

“Dundonnell wind farm is or fifth contract award for 2018, demonstrating our leadership position in the renewable energy market delivering balance-of-plant works.”

Dundonnell is a 336-megawatt wind farm about 23 kilometres north-east of Mortlake in Victoria and will consist of 80 turbines connected to the Mortlake Terminal Station.

Mondadelphous shares closed 12 cents lower at $13.62.

In other news, Primero Group announced new contracts and extensions to existing contracts valued at $30 million, including its first major contract at BHP Billiton’s South Flank iron ore project.

Primero has been awarded a sub-contract with Clough Limited’s minerals business unit for the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of the South Flank fuel facilities.

Primero managing director Cameron Henry said the new contracts and the extension of existing work demonstrated Primero’s expertise in the turnkey delivery of challenging multi-discipline EPC projects across the resources and energy sectors.

Primero shares finished 1.5 cents higher at 38.5 cents.
