MACA has extended a mining services contract with gold producer Regis Resources at its Duketon South operations near Laverton for the next five years.

Under the $590 million contract, Maca will continue to provide mining services, including drilling and blasting and loading and hauling.

The Duketon South contract will replace the existing contract for Rosemont and Garden Well, and will also include Erlistoun, Baneygo and Toohey’s Well.

“Maca is delighted to continue its long-standing relationship with Regis at Duketon,” executive director Geoff Baker said.

“The additional tenure ensures we are able to invest in more efficient equipment in order to continue to deliver quality mining services at the lowest cost to Regis.”

The initial term of the contract is five years, with an option for a further five-year extension.

Maca said the new contract took its total work in hand to $1.28 billion, with $490 million in the 2019 financial year.

Shares in Maca finished down 5.8 per cent at $1.29 each today.
