Perth-based MACA has been awarded a number of new contracts, totalling about $30 million, including a $12 million variation to works at the Gruyere gold project near Laverton.

The company provided an update on recent contract awards today, saying there had been a variation to the bulk earthworks contract at Gold Road Resources’ Gruyere project.

Under the extension, work has been extended to October this year.

Today's announcement included a $30 million Main Roads contract in the Pilbara, which was reported by Business News on June 15.

Maca also said it had secured a contract to build evaporating ponds for Western Areas at its Cosmos nickel project, which is expected to generate revenue of between $5 million and $6 million in the 2019 financial year.

The company has secured a $6 million contract through its Victorian infrastructure business to complete an intersection upgrade for VicRoads.

Finally, Maca’s Interquip subsidiary has been awarded a $6 million contract for structural, mechanical and piping work at Anglo Gold Ashanti’s Tropicana project.

“The works relate to a secondary mill upgrade at the plant and will employ circa 25 employees at peak manning,” the company said in a statement to the ASX.

“The works are expected to be completed in the second half of the 2018 calendar year.”
