LOGOS delivers logistics facilities

International property group LOGOS has announced the development of two state of the art facilities for Fisher & Paykel and Toll Transport at its Hazelmere Logistics Estate in Perth.

The 21 hectare estate, located on Talbot road, will offer up to 110,000 square metres of gross lettable area on completion with exposure to key transport infrastructure including the Roe Highway.

Head of Logos Australia and New Zealand, Darren Searle, said the estate is a core property for the group in delivering strategic employment and logistics land.

“The $165 million industrial estate will strengthen the region’s well-established freight and logistics focus and will bring many jobs to the area both through the construction of the estate and the facilities operations,” he said.

Logos said Toll has committed to a five year lease term for its new 22,000 square metre warehouse and office facility, which includes a 1,300 square metre mezzanine and automated conveyer system.

The new facility marks the fifth property Logos has developed for the global logistics provider, and its first facility in Western Australia.

Fisher & Paykel has also committed to a five year term for its 10,500 square metre warehouse and office facility, which accommodates the storage, distribution, and returns and repairs of whitegoods.

“We are pleased to have extended our relationship with Toll into Western Australia and to have established a new partnership with Fisher & Paykel at Hazelmere,” said Mr Searle.

“We look forward to working with them and continuing our strong relationship with the Western Australian government, Main Roads WA and the City of Swan, as we deliver 110,000 square metres of prime logistic space at this estate and capitalise on the site’s strategic and locational advantages for freight forwarding and distribution operations.”

Chief officer at Fisher & Paykel Australia, Ben Normoyle, said the new facility is an important investment for the company that will support its growth in Western Australia.

“The transformation of our national network is creating immense operational savings and efficiencies that allows us to continue to increase investment in new product development and in-store experience,” he said.

Toll and Fisher & Paykel join McPhee Transport on the estate, with the site almost 50 per cent committed.

Logos said the company is currently in discussions with a number of tenants for the remaining 10.9 hectares of space.
