K2fly wins work with API

Subiaco-based tech company K2fly has won a contract to provide its services to the manager of the West Pilbara iron ore project for an undisclosed sum.

K2fly, which listed on the ASX late last year after acquiring Power Resources through a reverse takeover, signed a licence contract with API Management for its Infoscope software.

The company acquired the Infoscope technology through its acquisition of a business by the same name in July.

The technology connects disparate data sources and assembles different information layers to present a single source of data in a clear format.

“This is our first new-name client for the Infoscope solution in this financial year,” K2fly chief executive Brian Miller said.

“Our successful tender was a result of a strong fit between the Infoscope software solution and API requirements.”

API is the manager of assets owned by the Australian Premium Iron joint venture and the Red Hill joint venture, which holds ownership of the undeveloped WPIOP.

The APIJV comprises AMCI, Posco and Baosteel through Aquila Resources.

Aquila was acquired by Baosteel and Aurizon in 2014.

The WPIOP is an undeveloped direct shipping iron ore project which includes a proposed new mine, rail and port development.
