ASX listed Analytica have convinced the West Australian Government to provide tax payer funding for women suffering from incontinence to access their PeriCoach medical device.
The PeriCoach device is a unique piece of medical equipment that allows women who suffer from incontinence to accurately monitor their pelvic floor exercises designed to reduce and eventually cure incontinence.
Without the use of the PeriCoach it is very difficult to be sure that the correct pelvic floor muscles are being exercised in order to adequately treat incontinence.
In Western Australia, the Disability Services Commission through and organization known as Independence Australia operate a subsidy scheme known as the West Australian Continence Management and Support Scheme.
Analytica were recently successful in listing the PeriCoach as an approved item under that scheme thereby providing potentially thousands of West Australian incontinence sufferers with financial assistance to purchase their product.
To access the product subsidy, individuals must be assessed as being eligible by the Continence Management and Advice Service.
Specialist Continence Nurse Advisors will identify eligible individuals and assist them in accessing this subsidy, including initiating contact with Independence Australia to place the order.

Pelvic Floor Muscle Exercises performed regularly can actually reduce or eliminate urinary incontinence and are in fact recommended as first line treatment. We are encouraged by the Western Australian Government’s recognition of the benefits to supporting the treatment of this common problem, and are hopeful that over time other states will follow suit. The PeriCoach System is designed to guide and support women through their pelvic floor exercises using real time visual feedback on a familiar technology platform to provide greater adherence to a program. “
