Hepburn-Brown passes away

Perth-based company director Peter Hepburn-Brown, who was on the board of three listed mining companies, has passed away following a period of ill-health.  

Mr Hepburn-Brown was non-executive director of gold-focused companies Medusa Mining, Focus Minerals and Calidus Resources.

He was also a project manager at gold explorer Vango Mining.

Mr Hepburn-Brown also served as managing director of Medusa between 2011 and 2014.

“It is with deep sadness that Medusa Mining advises that non-executive director Mr Peter Hepburn-Brown has passed away following ill health,” the company said in a statement to the ASX.

“The board and staff would like to offer sincere condolences to Peter’s family.”

Focus released a statement thanking Mr Hepburn-Brown for his service.

“The company benefited greatly from his experiences and professionalism,” Focus said.

“His passing away is great loss to all of us.

“The directors and staff of Focus Minerals are very saddened with this tragic news and wish to offer our deepest condolences to Peter’s family.

“We miss him dearly.”

Mr Hepburn-Brown previously served as a non-executive director of gold explorers Keras Resources, Alloy Resources and Gleneagle Gold, along with tin-aspirant Kasbah Resources.

He also had a stint as non-executive chairman of First Graphene.
