The chairman of Western Australia’s Environmental Protection Authority, Paul Vogel, has announced that he will not serve another term in the role.
Dr Vogel has occupied the position since 2007 and his current term ends in November this year, making him the second longest-serving chair in the body’s history.
“I am confident that I leave the EPA in good hands and with the foundations needed to meet the challenges of managing the environmental impacts on our state into the future,” Dr Vogel said in a statement
“To be chairman of the EPA in WA is an absolute privilege and I have devoted the past eight years of my life to this position.”
He previously served as chief executive and chair of the South Australian EPA for five years.
