Decmil wins NBN work

A subsidiary of engineering and construction contractor Decmil Group has won a contract for upgrades to NBN Company’s fixed wireless network capacity.

Decmil subsidiary SC Services, which specialises in wireless, fibre, copper and civil infrastructure construction projects for telecommunications carriers, has won a two-year contract with Nasdaq-listed Ericsson for work with nbn.

The scope of work involves the design, supply, installation, commissioning and integration of hardware and software to expand nbn’s fixed wireless network capacity.

The value of the contract, which will run until the end of 2017, was not disclosed.

“In addition, SC Services has recently added a permanent Melbourne office to its existing offices in Perth and Sydney, assisting its ability to service clients on a national basis,” Decmil said in a statement.

Decmil shares were 2.9 per cent lower to 81.5 cents each at 10am.
