Construction and contracting firm Decmil Group has announced Denis Criddle will retire as chairman, to be succeeded by non-executive director Giles Everist.
Mr Criddle has served as chairman since September 2009.
“Decmil Group is actively pursuing growth through leveraged expansion of its core business, Decmil Australia, into the infrastructure sector (water, power and rail), and geographic expansion from its Western Australian base into Queensland and the Northern Territory,” Mr Criddle told the company’s AGM today.
“With the company moving into the next phase of its development, I believe it is an appropriate time to retire as chairman.”
Mr Everist joined Decmil in January last year, having held senior executive roles with Coopers and Lybrand, Rio Tinto, Fluor Australia and Monadelphous Group.
Also today, Geoff Allen retired as non-executive director.
The company said it had recently kicked off a comprehensive search to replace the directors.
At close of trade today Decmil had gained 1.35 per cent, top trade at $2.25.
