The state government has said the new Perth Children’s Hospital, which has been plagued by delays, won’t open before February next year.
David Russell-Weisz, the Health Department’s director general, told an estimates hearing today that it could be up to 18 weeks before the new hospital is fully opened.
That puts the opening date sometime in March next year.
Dr Russell-Weisz said builder John Holland wouldn’t reach practical completion for another three-to-four weeks.
