DEXUS Property Group is preparing to welcome its first major tenant to the largest office tower at Kings Square, with West Perth-based advertising group The Brand Agency to take a full floor in KS1.

The Brand Agency’s fit-out, covering the entire second floor of KS1, will cost $888,798, according to City of Perth planning documents.

Brand Agency managing director Steve Harris declined to comment on the move, however, Business News understands the firm will shift to Kings Square around September.

Public relations firm Cannings Purple is also understood to be assessing its options in regard to sharing the tenancy with The Brand Agency.

Leasing activities at KS1 are being handled by Sheffield Property Group, which had not responded to Business News’ enquiries at time of publication.

One of four towers in the Kings Square precinct, the 19-level KS1 has been vacant since it was completed in late 2015.

Floorplates range from 1,222 square metres to 1,370sqm, with only level two of KS1 subject to a leasing arrangement.

Other major tenants in the Kings Square precinct include Shell, which has taken the entire KS2 tower, and HBF, which owns and occupies the 10-storey KS4.

At KS3, John Holland took a lease of the entire building once it was completed in 2015, however the national building and engineering contractor still lists Walters Drive, Osborne Park, as its WA headquarters.
