Board Moves March 1, 2018

Decmil Group has made some changes to its board structure, as part of its board renewal plan, to better reflect the future needs of the business. Current non-executive director David Saxelby will replace Bill Healy as non-executive chair. Mr  Healy will remain on the board as non-executive director. Decmil has also appointed Donald Argent as non-executive director. Mr  Argent is currently a non-executive director of Ausdrill and was director of finance and administration for Thiess Group, one of the largest integrated engineering and service providers in Australia and South East Asia.

Fe has appointed highly experienced industry executive Philippe Bouchart as general manager of the company’s Kasombo Copper-Cobalt Project in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Mr  Bouchart is an internationally experienced mining and metallurgy industry executive with 26 years of production and general management work, including 15 years in the DRC.

Rob Cole has joined the board of Iluka Resources as an independent non-executive director. Mr  Cole has extensive extractive industry experience in Australia and abroad, and 30 years  of experience in the energy and resources industry.

David Buckingham, current chief financial officer of Navitas, will take over from Rod Jones as group chief executive. Mr  Jones, co-founder and group chief executive, is stepping down after 23 years with the company and the education sector. He will continue as managing director until June 30, at which time Mr  Buckingham will assume the roles of managing director and group chief executive.

Range Resources, an international oil and gas company with assets in Trinidad and Indonesia as well as an oilfield services business in Trinidad, has appointed LuBing Liu as group chief operating officer and general manager of Trinidad. Mr  Liu has been the company’s non-executive director since 2016.

David Robinson has been appointed non-executive director of RCR Tomlinson. Mr  Robinson has significant engineering experience in the infrastructure, resources, rail and transport markets in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Asia.

Nzuri Copper has appointed highly experienced international mining and business executive Thomas Borman as non-executive chair, succeeding Peter Ruxton who will remain on the board as a non-executive director.

Dean Jagger has been appointed company secretary of Viking Mines, following the resignation of Michael Langoulant from the role.

Bronwyn Barnes has resigned as non-executive director of JC International due to competing work commitments and increased travel obligations. The company is seeking and interviewing candidates with a specific skillset and business acumen to complement the current board, and one who can assist the company with its future expansion and operational plans within Australia and internationally.
