Dr Dirk van Hyning has been appointed chief executive of Alexium International Group. He joined the company in 2013 as senior research scientist and was subsequently promoted to head of product development and commercial transition, president in 2014, and acting chief executive from January to June 2017. Dr  van Hyning replaces Nicholas Clark, who remains with the company as executive director, strategy.

Martin Pyle will step down as non-executive director of Gold Road Resources, having served on the board since June 2010.

Steve Robinson has resigned as non-executive chair of Sumatra Copper & Gold following his appointment to a full-time executive director position at another ASX-listed mining company. Jocelyn Waller, founding director and current non-executive director, will become interim chair.

Transaction Solutions International has appointed current chief executive Jeffrey Lai as executive director and Gernot Abl as non-executive director. Paul Boyatzis and Yew Seng Kwa will step down as non-executive directors.

Paul Kehoe has resigned as non-executive director of Aurora Labs.

Acacia Coal has appointed Brett Tucker as company secretary following the resignation of Lauren Nelson from the role.

Noel Young has resigned as joint company secretary of Altura Mining but will remain as the company’s Group Financial Controller.

Paul Doropoulos will step down as chief financial officer of Swift Networks but remains on the board as non-executive director. Current financial controller, George Nicholls, will become chief financial officer. Mr  Nicholls joined the company in January 2017 after a career spanning almost 20 years as a finance professional in private and public practices in Australia and the United Kingdom.
