THE Australian Taxation Office has released a fact sheet on the general anti-avoidance rules and how they may apply to personal services businesses conducted through a company, trust or partnership.

“The information sets out requirements specified in the Income tax law Part IVA. If Part IVA does apply then the commissioner may cancel any tax benefits you have received,” the fact sheet says.
