ATG breaks into China's vehicle market

Automotive Technology Group has broken into China's massive automobile market after it signed an exclusive distribution deal with a Chinese company for its Sprintex Supercharger products.

The Malaga-based company said the deal will give Huachuang Zhenxin Automobile Technology Group Co the exclusive rights to market and sell the products in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

Under the deal, Huachuang will buy at least 5000 supercharger kits during the first 24 months of the agreement, and a minimum of 5000 more supercharger kits in the last 12 months of the deal.

The total period of the agreement is 36 months.

ATG said the kits will initially be developed at its Perth facilities before delivery to Huachuang, which will then make the final fitting and conversion to Chinese specifications.

The Chinese deal follows last month's agreement with a leading United Arab Emirates motor vehicle distribution group to evaluate the patented Sprintex Supercharger, with a view to secure distribution rights in the region.
